Activated alumina desiccant production process

The main raw material of activated alumina desiccant is industrial grade aluminum hydroxide powder, which is a kind of basic oxide with 3-5% water content, and the burning reduction of alumina hydroxide at 900-1100℃ is 34.5%.

 The production process of activated alumina desiccant is as follows:

Aluminum hydroxide – drying – mill to 600 mesh, aluminum hydroxide 300 ℃ rapid dehydration – disc molding – 12 hour  activation treatment – through shaft kiln 550 ℃ sintering.

1. Industrial aluminum hydroxide powder, which contains 3-5% moisture, is dried at 120℃ by large drying equipment.

2. After drying, aluminum hydroxide powder enters into large mechanical grinding and crushes to 600 meshes. The finer the fineness is, the more favorable it is to shape into ball activation process.The produced spherical particles have no powder and high strength.

3, powder aluminum hydroxide, into the fast degasification system for initial sintering, aluminum hydroxide fine powder in a highly turbulent hot air flow stay 0.10s, the production principle is: aluminum hydroxide by suspension roasting rapid dehydration, and rapid cooling.

4, using the principle of snowball, the production of activated alumina ball, this process can be made of different diameter of activated alumina desiccant and carrier.

5, the ball of activated alumina particles static for 12 hours, its own heat and water to activate.

6. Finally, activated alumina is sintered in a vertical kiln, and the roasting temperature is 550-700℃.
