Ultra-white glass is a kind of ultra-transparent low iron glass, also known as low iron glass, colorless glass, high transparent glass, the iron content of its glass composition is not more than 150ppm, the light transmissibility can reach more than 92%.As a new material, ultra-white glass has broad application prospects in solar photovoltaic industry, high-end cars, high-end buildings, high-end horticultural buildings and high-end furniture.
1. Classification of ultra-white glass:
According to different process, it can be divided into ultra-white calendering glass and ultra-white float glass.
(1) ultra-white calendering glass: ultra-white glass produced by calendering process can be divided into solar ultra-white calendering glass (solar substrate glass) and ultra-white transparent plate glass.
Advantages: ultra-white calendered glass has high solar transmittance, low absorption rate, high reflectivity, high intensity, resistance to solar ultraviolet radiation without decreasing transmittance and other characteristics.
(2) ultra-white float glass: the ultra-white glass produced by float technology is a new type of high-grade glass with high quality and multi-function. It has the characteristics of glittering and translucent, high-grade and elegant, and is known as the “crystal prince” of the glass family.
Advantages: the transparency, light transmittance, strength, flatness and self-detonation rate of ultra-white float glass are better than ordinary glass. In addition, it can also be used to make thin film batteries, which cost less than polycrystalline silicon cells, and also suitable for building external walls.
The main raw materials for the production of ultra-white glass are quartz sand, feldspar, dolomite, limestone, heavy alkali, aluminum hydroxide, glauber’s salt, sodium pyroantimonate and antimony trioxide.
